SMAY, Lisa M.

Lisa M. Smay, 39, of Council Bluffs, Iowa, formerly of Grand Island, died Monday, June 14, 2004 at her home in Council Bluffs, following a bout with cancer. Funeral services will be on Thursday at 10:00 A.M. at Livingston-Sondermann Funeral Home. The Rev. Francis Curran will officiate. Burial will be at the Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 4:00 until 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Mrs. Smay was born on April 2, 1965 in Marshalltown, Iowa to Philip and Virginia (Sanders) Smith. Survivors of the immediate family include her husband, Kevan of Council Bluffs, Iowa; two sons, Erik Smay of Madison, Wisconsin, and Michael Lynn of Grand Island; two daughters, Stephanie Lynn and Jessica Lynn both of Grand Island; three brothers, Joseph Smith of Bellevue, Nebraska, David Smith of Bay St. Louis, Mississippi, Patrick Smith of Aurora; and one sister, Beth Barlow of Grand Island. Lisa received her education in Louisiana, North Platte, and Grand Island. She graduated from Northwest High School. She married Robert Lynn on April 20, 1985 in Grand Island. She then married Kevan Smay on September 12, 1997 in Bismark, North Dakota. The couple lived in North Dakota, Kansas, Minnesota, Ohio, Missouri, Illinois, and then Iowa. Mrs. Smay was employed by the Orius Cable T.V. Company of Little Canada, Minnesota. She enjoyed all sports, fishing, playing pool, boating, and camping. She was preceded in death by her parents, and her paternal grandmother, Marie Smith.
