Bob A. Platt, 74, of Grand Island, died Sunday, May 23, 2004 at the St. Francis Medical Center. Funeral services will be on Friday at 10:30 A.M. at Livingston-Sondermann Funeral Home. Pastor Frank Roshau will officiate. Burial will be at the Grand Island City Cemetery. Visitation will be on Thursday from 2:00 until 5:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Mr. Platt was born on March 3, 1930 at Central City to Cecil and Mabel (Laffler) Platt. Survivors include two half-brothers, Roger Platt of Central City, and Richard Platt of Ridgely, Tennessee; two half-sisters, Ina Mae Lewis and Kay Salmon both of Central City; and a cousin, Levi Smith of Lincoln. Additional survivors include special friends, Beverly Wood, the Bob & Cindy Bennett family, Debra Austin, and Kathleen Carroll all of Grand Island, and Danny and Dan Austin of Kearney. Mr. Platt received his education in Lincoln. He was raised by his Uncle. Mr. Platt was a truck driver and a good mechanic. He was preceded in death by his parents. Memorials are suggested to the family.
