Funeral Services were held 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, December 20, 1988 at Higby Mortuary. Interment was held in the Aurora Cemetery.
OBITUARY: Rudy Andersen
Rudolf M. Andersen, the son of Louis C. and Anne (Christensen) Anderson, was born at Marquette, Nebraska, on April 20, 1019, and passed away at his home in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, on December 16, 1988, at the age of 78 years, 7 months and 26 days.
He grew up and attended school near Marquette, and later attended Peru State Normal School, studying journalism, where he was involved in Drama.
On September 5, 1931, he was united in marriage to Clara Ashley, at Clay Center, Nebraska. After his marriage he worked as a produce buyer for Armour Company. He also worked in the oil fields in New Mexico for a time. He farmed near Marquette, until 1975, when he and Clara moved to Oklahoma City.
Rudy was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church at Kronborg, and was a member of the Polk Masonic Lodge #311 AF & AM.
He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers, Edward and Elmer; 3 sisters, Josephine, Ida and Dora.
Those who remain to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Clara; 2 brothers, Andy of Central City and Lewis P. of California; 3 sisters, Clara Rasmussen and Emma Benson of Aurora and Sena Larsen of Central City, and many other relatives and friends.
