Ron Andersen, 63, of Aurora, died Sunday morning, January 13, 2002, at St. Francis Hospital in Grand Island. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Wednesday at the St. John Lutheran Church in Kronborg. Pastor Pam Ciulla will officiate. Interment will be in the St. John Lutheran Cemetery. OBITUARY: RONALD ANDERSEN Ronald LeRoy Andersen, the son of Reuben A. and Annie Marie (Rasmussen) Andersen, was born in Marquette, Nebraska on September 7, 1938 and died in Grand Island, Nebraska on January 13, 2002, at the age of 63 years. He grew up in the Marquette area where he attended rural school and then Marquette High School. Ron served in the Army from 1955-1958. He was stationed with the 82 Airborne at Fort Bragg, North Carolina. After the service Ron began farming with his father. Ron was united in marriage to Janet J. Tyler on December 17, 1961 at Central City. Two sons were born to this union, Allen and Dale. Ron continued to farm and shared the job with his two sons. Ron and Janet moved to Aurora in 1999. Ron was a member of Marquette School Board, Farmers Union Association Board, Charter member of Valley View Recreation Association and the Saddle Club. Ron enjoyed watching Danny participate in his activities. He liked Husker football and spending time with his friends, with an occasional poker party thrown in. He was preceded in death by his father, a brother, Roger and two infant grandsons. Ron is survived by his wife, Janet of Aurora; two sons, Allen D. and his wife Darla and Dale L. all of Marquette; mother, Annie Andersen of Aurora; grandson, Daniel A. Andersen of Marquette; two brothers, Robert L. Andersen and his wife Jean of Moorehead, Minnesota and Raymond L. Andersen and his wife Karen of Marquette and sister-in-law, Becky Hajny and her husband Dave of Clay Center.
