Funeral Services were held 10:30 A.M., Wednesday, June 28, 1989 at St. John’s Lutheran Church at Kronborg. Interment was held in the St. John’s Lutheran Cemetery.
OBITUARY: Roger Andersen
Roger Leon Andersen, the son of Reuben and Annie Marie (Rasmussen) Andersen, was born at Marquette, Nebraska, on February 15, 1936, and passed away at O’Neill, Nebraska, on June 24, 1989, at the age of 53 years, 4 months, and 9 days.
He received his schooling at Marquette and graduated from Marquette High School. He then worked for the county for a few years. From July 28, 1955 to July 26, 1957, he served his country during the Korean Conflict in the U.S. Army. Roger had worked for Grosshans International and Bonnavilla Homes, for a short period of time. At the time of his untimely death he was employed by Hamilton County, as Highway Superintendent.
Roger was a member of the Masonic Lodge and belonged to the Shrine, Tehama Temple at Hastings.
He also belonged to United Motor Cycle Club International, and the retreads.
He was baptized in the Lutheran Faith.
He was preceded in death by his father Reuben Andersen.
Those who remain to cherish his memory are an adopted daughter, Anastacia Andersen of Kearney; 3 brothers, Robert of Moorhead, Minnesota, and Ronald and Raymond, both of Marquette; his mother, Annie Andersen of Aurora; his fiancé, Shari Lahndorf, of Grand Island; and nieces and nephews and many close friends.
