ALLEN, Wayne Linn

Wayne Linn Allen, age 71, of Aurora, died Thursday, January 12, 2006, at Memorial Community Care in Aurora. Visitation will be Monday, January 16th from 10 to 11:30 A.M. with services immediately following at Lockenour-Jones Mortuary in Cambridge. Jerry Beckenhauer will officiate. OBITUARY: WAYNE ALLEN Wayne Allen, the son of Linn and Alfredia (Webber) Allen, was born in McCook, Nebraska on May 26, 1934 and died in Aurora, Nebraska on January 12, 2006, at the age of 71. Wayne grew up in Cambridge, Nebraska and graduated from Cambridge High School. Wayne was joined in marriage on April 27, 1953, to Nadeen Warren at Indianola, Nebraska. They moved to Indiana, where he worked for Alcoa Aluminum and Ralston Purina. They returned to Nebraska and lived in Edison for several years. They took over the family farm south of Cambridge. In 1975, they moved to town and Wayne drove a truck for Cornbelt of McCook for many years. He also worked for Indianola Oil for a short time. In 1990, they moved west of Timmerman?s Feed Lot with their son, Scott. Shortly after that, Wayne retired. They lived there until his health worsened and in 2003, they moved to Aurora to be closer to their sons and doctors. Nadeen passed away on April 17, 2005. Wayne loved camping, fishing, and puttering in his garden. He enjoyed his cats and working with his hands. His parents and his wife preceded him in death. Wayne is survived by his three children: Kevin (Jeanie) Allen of Aurora, Pamela (Myron) Guthrie of Indianola, Nebraska and Scott Allen of Aurora; 5 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
