Funeral Services were held 2:30 P.M., Monday, October 25, 1993 at the Aurora Presbyterian United Church of Christ. Interment was held in the Aurora Cemetery. OBITUARY: Pam Allen Pamela Mary Allen, the daughter of Rev. David and Mary (Evans) Tudor, was born at Geneva, Nebraska, on January 20, 1929, and died at Aurora, Nebraska, on October 21, 1993, at the age of 64 years, 9 months, and 1 day. She was raised in Geneva and Cortland where he father was called in the ministry, and graduated from Aurora High School with the class of 1946. She attended Doane College for 2 years, and completed her BA degree in music at Hastings College, graduating in 1962. She continued her music education studying pedagogy under Francis Clark at Eastern New Mexico College. On June 4, 1950, she was united in marriage to Dr. Jack M. Allen at the Buffalo Grove Church in Lexington, Nebraska. After their marriage they resided in Aurora. Pam was a member of the Aurora Presbyterian United Church of Christ for 51 years, was a 50 year member of the church choir, and played the organ continuously for the past 40 years, and belonged to the church Women’s Association. She taught piano lessons and touched the lives of hundreds of boys and girls over more than 39 years of teaching. She also taught public school at Hampton, Stockham, and Aurora, as well as in one-roomed schools west and north of Aurora. She belonged to several bridge groups, taught numerous bridge classes over the past 40 years, and belonged to the American Contract Bridge League. She was a member of the Beta Sigma Phi Sorority, the National Welsh Gymanfa Ganu Association, was a Girl Scout Leader, and was a past member of the Aurora Community Theater, in which she acted and directed several productions. Pam was an avid sports fan of the Nebraska Cornhuskers and the Chicago Cubs. She also had a keen political sense and was tickled to death that “her party” finally got back in control of the White House. She was preceded in death by her parents, Rev. David and Mary Tudor, and a sister, Patricia Synovec. Those who remain to cherish her memory are her husband, Dr. Jack Allen of Aurora; one son Dr. J. Michael Allen and his wife Glenda of Aurora; 2 daughters, Julie Anne Allen and her husband Timothy Schatz of Denver, Colorado, and Lezlee Elizabeth Patrice Allen of Grand Island; 2 brothers, Col. David B. Tudor (Ret.) and his wife Barbara, of Colorado Springs, Colorado, and Gomer E. Tudor of Damariscotta, Maine; a brother-in-law, Elmer E. Synovec of Grand Island, and many nieces and nephews.
