Funeral Services were held 10:30 A.M., Friday, August 9, 1996 at the Aurora United Methodist Church. Interment was held in the Aurora Cemetery.
OBITUARY: Edith Alberts
Edith Nellie Alberts, the daughter of William and Lovenia (Salmon) Miller, was born at Stockham, Nebraska, on April 1, 1918, and died at Hastings, Nebraska, on August 6, 1996, at the age of 78 years, 4 months, and 5 days.
She grew up near Stockham, attended country grade school and Aurora High School.
She was united in marriage to N.O. “Ole” Alberts, on July 24, 1937, at Aurora. After their marriage they lived at Saronville until 1945, when they moved to a farm south of Aurora. In 1964 they moved to a farm near Eldorado, where they have since resided.
Edith was a long time and faithful member of the Aurora United Methodist Church. She belonged to the Verona Extension Club, and was a member of the same bowling team for 27 years. She and “Ole” traveled extensively, and she enjoyed her crafts and was an avid reader.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and 2 brothers, James and Ben.
Those who remain to cherish her memory are her husband “Ole” of Aurora; 2 sons, Bill of Aurora, and Gary of Largo, Florida; a daughter Patty Scherff of Houston, Texas; one brother Vernon “Tuny” Miller of Aurora; and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
