Funeral Services were held 2:00 P.M., Saturday, July 14, 1979 at Messiah Lutheran Church in Aurora. Interment was held at Shelby Cemetery. OBITUARY: Lorena Jusina Adkisson Lorena Jusina Adkisson, the daughter of Herman and Hulda Johnnes Schreiber, was born May 3, 1925, at Columbus, Nebraska, and passed away after an illness of several months, at Omaha, Nebraska, at the age of 54 years, 2 months, and 7 days. She was born on a farm Northeast of Columbus, and attended Columbus schools, graduating in 1943. She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith, and was a member of the Messiah Lutheran Church in Aurora. On September 23, 1947 she was united in holy matrimony to Oscar (Gene) Adkisson, Jr. at Columbus, Nebraska. They resided near Columbus until 1969, when they moved to Aurora. She was preceded in death by her father, Herman Schreiber, one sister, Viola Richards, and a niece, Vicki Schreiber. Those who survive to mourn her passing are her husband, Gene of Aurora, one son Dale of Aurora; a daughter, Mrs. Beverley Ham of Kansas City, Missouri, one brother, Marvin Schreiber, of Van Couver, Washington, her mother, Mrs. Hulda Schreiber of Columbus, her God Mother Anne Flamma of Columbus, many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews, and a host of close friends.
