MILLER, Theodore


Theodore “Ted” Miller, 68 years of age from Minden, Nebraska died Saturday, Sept. 11, 2010 at his home in Minden. Ted was born July 4, 1942 in Minden, NE to George and Erma (White) Miller. Ted grew up in the Minden area and graduated from Minden High School in 1961. He attended Kearney State College. He married Kathleen Vosburgh on February 1, 1964. They made their home in Minden. Ted was employed by Miller the Driller. In 1983 he became associated with Royal Plastics in Minden. He retired in May of this year. Ted was a lifelong member of St. John's Catholic Church in Minden. He was a past member of the Minden Jaycees and the Nebraska Well Drillers Association. He enjoyed trap shooting, his pond, raising Koi, gardening, international travel and taking the gravel roads to check the farm. Most importantly, Ted enjoyed being with his family. Survivors include his wife, Kathleen, of Minden; two sons, Ted Miller and his wife, Stephanie of Midlothian, TX and Adam Miller and his wife, Jeni of Mesa AZ; two daughters, Sarah Miller, Phoenix, AZ and her fiancé, Mark Uilk of Flandreau, SD and Dawn Hilton and her husband, Brad of Lansing, KS. He has four grandchildren, Bradley Hilton Jr., Karla Miller, Locarno Hilton and Samantha Miller. His siblings include three brothers, Jim, Randy and Jon Miller of Minden; six sisters, Sally Pittner , Susan Lempka of Minden, Frances Buesher of Lawrence, NE, Rebecca Miller, Anne Dorn and Laura Martinez of Minden. He is preceded in death by his parents. Memorial services will be Thursday, Sept. 16, 2010 at 10:30 a.m. at the St. John's Catholic Church in Minden with Father Nicholas Baker officiating. Rosary will be recited Wednesday evening at 7:30 at the church. Layton-Craig Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
