David R. Nichol, 74 years of age from Minden, NE died on Sunday, July 25, 2010 at the Bethany Home in Minden, Nebraska. David was born on August 20, 1935 in Minden, NE to David R. and Gertrude (Miller) Nichol. When David was 10 he moved to the Beatrice State Home and lived there until moving to the Bethphage Mission in Axtell in 1980. In 2001 he moved to the Bethany Home in Minden. He enjoyed car rides, music and laughing. David enjoyed his time at Bethany Home and being around people. Survivors include his sister, Barbara Nichol of Minden; sister in-law, Carolyn Nichol of Minden; three nephews, Brad, Jay and Todd Nichol all of Minden. He is preceded in death by his parents and brother, Bill Nichol. Funeral services will be on Thursday, July 29, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at the Westminster United Presbyterian Church in Minden with Reverend Donald Hunzeker officiating. Burial will be in the Minden Cemetery. Visitation will be at the Layton-Craig Funeral Home on Wednesday from 3-5 and 7-8 p.m.
