Emma Rose Tucker, 90 died at Omaha April 20, 1995. Funeral services were held Monday, April 24, 1995 at 11:00 a.m. at the Jacobsen Funeral Home in St. Paul. The Rev. Robert Carlson, Jr. officiated with James P. Jacobsen II singing "The Old Rugged Cross" and "Beyond the Sunset". Edith Van Pelt was the organist. Burial was in the Elmwood Cemetery in St. Paul. Casketbearers were Edward Gutterman, David Gutterman, Robert McCormick, John Ross, Steven Wessels, and Myron Nielsen. Jacobsen Funeral Home in St. Paul was in charge of arrangements. Emma R. Tucker, daughter of John and Lena (Stahl) Schenk, was born December 11, 1904 at Johnstown, Nebraska. She departed from this life on April 20, 1995 at Omaha, at the age of 90 years. She was baptized on January 6, 1905. She received her education at rural school near Johnstown. Before her marriage she remained at home helping raise her brother and sister. On March 3, 1926, she was united in marriage to Charley Tucker at Winner, South Dakota. The couple first made their home near Johnstown. In 1927, the couple moved to a farm east of Dannebrog. In 1941, the couple moved to Crocker, Missouri. The following year, the couple returned to make their home in Dannebrog. Mr. Tucker preceded her in death on August 26, 1970 Mrs. Tucker continued to make her home in Dannebrog until October of 1994 when she went to make her home with her daughter, Ilene Chrisp in Grand Island. She is survived by her three daughters, Evelyn Gutterman of Omaha, Marguerite Nackoul of Downey, California, and Ilene Chrisp of Grand Island; seven granchildren; six great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Elizabeth Ross of Bancroft and Bertha Reinert of Johnstown. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Charley; one brother, Justus; a sister, Lena Picard; one infant brother and one infant sister.
