REINERT, Arthur C.


The funeral of A. C. Reinert who died Saturday morning as the result of an attack of appendicitis, was held Monday afternoon at the M.E.Church, and was largely attended. The pallbearers were members of the American Legion, four of them, Carl Sisson, Clarence Morrow, F.W. Bride and W.F. Coffman, were members of the same company as the deceased. They were assisted by Fred Berckhemer and Erick N. Cassel. Arthur C. Reinert was born near Tekamah, Nebr., on December 18, 1895, and died at Ainsworth, Nebraska, December 15, 1923, aged 27 years, 11 months and 27 days. He moved to Brown County with his parents Mr. and Mrs. C. W. Reinert in 1919 and was united in marriage to Miss Lillian Lochmiller, February 25, 1920. To this union was born two daughters, Doris aged 3 and Vivian age one year, all of whom together with his father and mother and two brothers, Guy B. and Roy P., are left to mourn his early demise. He enlisted August 15th, 1918 at Lincoln, transported to Rairton, N.J. November 3rd. Last assigned to Arsenal Co. No. 1, sent to Casulty Dep. 587 Group D.E.M. Hospital Ward 47. Transported to Isolation Hospital, discharged from hospital April 10, 1919, and discharged from the Army at Des Moines, Ia., May 31, 1919.
