Craig E. Scarborough, 48, of Grand Island, died Monday, March 29, 2004 at his home. Funeral services will be on Tuesday, April 6, 2004 at 10:30 A.M. at Livingston-Sondermann Funeral Home. The Rev. Scott Jones will officiate. Burial will be at the Rosehill Cemetery at Palmer. There will be no visitation. Mr. Scarborough was born on November 2, 1955 in Grand Island to Wayne and Geraldine (Glover) Scarborough. Survivors of the immediate family include his father of Grand Island, one sister, Karen Scarborough of Grand Island, and one brother, Keith Scarborough of Woodbridge, Virginia. Additional survivors include one niece and one nephew. Mr. Scarborough received his education in Grand Island and graduated from Grand Island Senior High in 1974. He attended Doane College in Crete, and then the University of Nebraska in Lincoln. Mr. Scarborough was employed for the last 17 years as a copywriter/announcer at K.R.G.I. Radio in Grand Island. He was very active in theatre in Grand Island having appeared in many productions for the Piccadilly Dinner Theatre and the Grand Island Little Theatre. He served as president of the Grand Island Little Theatre Board of Directors. He also received many awards including favorite actor and favorite director. Mr. Scarborough also sang for many years with the Grand Island City Singers. He was preceded in death by his mother in 2001. Memorials are suggested to the American Diabetes Association.
