Cashmere Janulewicz, 93, of Grand Island, died Monday, February 9, 2004 at the St. Francis Medical Center. Funeral services will be on Friday at 10:30 A.M. at St. Mary's Cathedral. The Rev. Tom Ryan will officiate. Burial will be at the Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be on Thursday from 4:00 until 8:00 P.M. at Livingston-Sondermann Funeral Home with a Catholic Daughters rosary at 4:00 P.M., and a Parish rosary at 7:00 P.M. Mrs. Janulewicz was born on October 11, 1910 at Ashton, Nebraska to Lawrence and Helen (Krolikowski) Spotanski. Survivors of the immediate family include one son and daughter-in-law, Richard & Connie Janulewicz of Platte City, Missouri; and one daughter, Patricia Janulewicz of Grand Island; two sisters, Nell Stout of Port Hueneme, California, and Bridget Kezor of Portland, Oregon. Additional survivors include one granddaughter, Shawn Michelle Janulewicz of Stanberry, Missouri. Mrs. Janulewicz received her education in Sherman County near Ashton. She married Stephen Michael Janulewicz on October 18, 1931 in Loup City. The couple moved to Grand Island in 1938. Mrs. Janulewicz was a homemaker. She enjoyed gardening, fishing, and playing bingo. She was an active member of St. Mary Cathedral and the Catholic Daughters of the Americas Court Ave Maria #1263. Mrs. Janulewicz was preceded in death by her husband in 1973; three brothers, Edward, Alex, and Clarence Spotanski; and three sisters, Clara Horky, Alma Corning, and Belle Manning.
