DITTMAR, Phyllis J

Phyllis J. Dittmar, 77, of Grand Island, died Sunday, February 1, 2004 at her home. Mrs. Dittmar's body was cremated and a graveside services will be held Saturday, February 7, 2004 at 2:00 P.M. at Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery with Rev. Jerry Quandt officiating. Mrs. Dittmar was born November 15, 1926 in Colby, Kansas. She grew up in Colby and attended the Kansas State University and graduated from Colorado Women's College in Denver. She was united in marriage to Ray Dittmar on May 22, 1947. They lived in Salina and Wichita, Kansas before coming to Grand Island in 1957. Mr. Dittmar was employed with Diamond Engineering and Riley Construction Company. He preceded her in death in September of 2000. Phyllis was member of Riverside Golf Club and active with the Grand Island Little Theatre during it's inception and with Stuhr Museum. She was also an avid bridge player. Survivors include a daughter; Linda Kay (Mrs. Robert) Dibbern of Olatha, Kansas, two granddaughters; Andria Lynn Dibbern of Overland Park, Kansas and Laurel Ann (Mrs. Michael) Saunders of Olatha, Kansas. She is also survived by a great-granddaughter Madalen Rae Saunders.
