Edwina M. Kleeb, 85, of Grand Island died Wednesday, January 14, 2004, at St. Francis Medical Center. Services will be at 10:30 A.M. Saturday at Livingston-Sondermann Funeral Home. Mr. Ronald Thomke will officiate. Burial will be in the Grand Island City Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday at the funeral home from 4 to 8 p.m. with family receiving friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Miss Kleeb was born October 29, 1918, at Berwyn, Nebraska to Carl and Amy Lorena (Bennett) Kleeb. Survivors of the immediate family are one brother, Raymond Kleeb of Kearney and one sister, Inez Kleeb of Grand Island. Also surviving are two nieces, Bonita Kleeb of Milwaukee and Dorothy Kleeb of Humboldt, Kansas; a nephew and his wife, Jim and Shelley Kleeb of Kearney; and several cousins. Edwina grew up and received her education in Berwyn. She worked as a stockroom clerk at St. Francis Medical Center for 20 years. In the early 80's Edwina was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis, eventually becoming wheelchair bound. She was patient, uncomplaining and gracious in her disability. She was a member of a non-denominational group of Christians. In addition to her parents, Edwina was preceded in death by her sister, Wauneta; and her brother, Lowell.
