Moore, Alfred B.
Age 92
Born in Omaha on August 19, 1920, Alfred died November 16, 2012. He was
a longtime local coin and antique dealer; former Millwright; owner of
Moore's Coin Co.; past President of Omaha Coin Club; 50+ year member of
ANA; and instrumental in the cataloging of the Byron Reed collection now
housed at the Durham Museum. He had a recent business venture dealing
in vintage postcards. He was a World War II Veteran, active in preserving
the history of PT Boats. Preceded in death by his wife of 61 years, Toby;
son Larry; brother Robert; and sister Charlotte Long. Survived by sister
Louise Hiltz; daughter and son-in-law, Peggy and Ron Workman; grandsons,
Nathan and Kyle (Amber) Workman, and Lester Moore; sister-in-law Esther
Hart; dear friends, the Scarpa family.
