Kevin Hansen, 54, of Wayne, died Tuesday, Sept. 18, 2012 at his home near Wayne. Memorial visitation will be Monday, Sept. 24 from 5 to 8 p.m. with family present from 6 to 8 p.m. at Hasemann Funeral Home in Wayne. Memorial services will be held Tuesday, Sept. 25 at 10:30 a.m. at First United Methodist Church in Wayne. The Rev. Pete Phillips will officiate. Kevin Lee Hansen was born Dec. 1, 1957, at Wayne to Lester and Donna (Lage) Hansen. He graduated from Wayne High School and Northeast Community College in Norfolk. Kevin had previously worked at Battle Creek CO-OP when he lived in Norfolk, farmed near Wayne, and at the present time was employed in the Fabrication Department at Thurston Manufacturing. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Wayne and AA. He enjoyed gardening and baking, Survivors include his parents, Lester and Donna Hansen of Wayne; brothers, David (Lisa) Hansen of Aurora, Colo., Marvin (Rhonda) Hansen of Indianapolis, Ind. and Dale (Denise) Hansen of Wichita, Kan.; sister, Connie (Scott) Samek of Cedar Bluffs; 12 nieces and nephews. Kevin was preceded in death by his grandparents and sister, Deborah. Pallbearers will be Kevin’s nieces and nephews. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery in. Wayne. Hasemann Funeral Home in Wayne is in charge of arrangements. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association and the family for designation at a later date.
