BUSS, Dayna Lynn

LINCOLN — A celebration of life for Dayna L. Buss, 35, of Lincoln will be at 3 p.m. Sunday at Sheridan Lutheran Church in Lincoln. ——— Dayna Lynn (Carper) Buss, 35, of Lincoln entered into Heaven on Oct. 30, 2012, surrounded by her family. She was born on July 11, 1977, in Kearney to Steven and Gayle Carper. Dayna graduated from Lincoln East High School. She attended Nebraska Wesleyan University before attending Doane College and earning her master’s degree in education. Dayna has taught for 14 years at Cavett Elementary. She loved her students and her Cavett family. Dayna married her best friend, Jeremy Buss, on May 29, 2010, in Pioneers Park, Lincoln. She loved to travel and was always planning her next adventure. She was preceded in death by her sister, Dawn, and maternal grandparents James and Elsie Eriksen and paternal grandfather Earl Carper. Dayna is survived by her husband, Jeremy; her parents, Steven and Gayle Carper; siblings Amber Carper-Barclay (Jeff) and Alex Carper, all of Lincoln; paternal grandmother Dorothy Carper and her beloved Schnoodle, Gracie. She treasured her relationships with her large family and many friends. Dayna was a loving person who touched many lives and will be missed by all. Memorials are in care of the family for a scholarship fund for future teachers in Dayna’s honor. The church is at 6955 Old Cheney Road, Lincoln.
