Perry Thomas Hoemann was born to Clarence and Eva (Morris) Hoemann on Oct. 11, 1954 in Norfolk, the second of four children. He lived the majority of his life in the Hoskins area, graduating from Winside High School with the class of 1973. In 1980, Perry married Deb (Vawser) now Schuessler, and had two beloved daughters, Melissa and Jennifer. Perry worked for many years with his father in their business, Homer’s Plumbing and Wellworks in Hoskins. After the plumbing business closed, Perry spent several years driving truck and most recently, had started his own business hauling scrap metal. Perry spent several years as a volunteer firefighter for Hoskins, and was fire chief for a time. He enjoyed spending time with people from the community, hanging out at the local bar and grill in Hoskins and drinking Dr. Pepper. He loved to ride motorcycles and would take long road trips on his Harley – even driving all the way to Seattle a couple of times to visit his older daughter. He enjoyed hunting, golfing, photography, and reading Tom Clancy novels (among many, many others). Perry was the kind of person always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need and was well-known and liked in the surrounding community. Survivors include his daughters Melissa Hoemann of Edmonds, Wash. Jennifer Hoemann of Lincoln; his mother Eva Hoemann of Wayne; his three sisters and their families Peggy Hoemann of Defiance, Ohio; Paula and John Konneker and nieces Katie and Elizabeth of Uniontown, Ohio; and Pamela and David Hovis of Lincoln; as well as numerous extended family members. He was preceded in death by his father, Clarence. Shultz-Vogel-Johnson Mortuary in Stanton is in charge of arrangements.
