ROONEY, Ann

Ann (Hoesing) Rooney, 51, of Coleridge died peacefully Wednesday, May 27, 2015, at her residence. She was the daughter of Bonnie Hoesing. Services will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Hartington, NE, with the Rev. David Liewer officiating. Burial will be at St. Michael's Cemetery. Visitation will be 6 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, with a vigil service at 7 p.m., at church. Arrangements are under the direction of Wintz Funeral Home in Hartington. Ann Marie was born on July 3, 1963, to Hilary and Bonnie (Bargstadt) Hoesing, in Yankton, SD. Ann went to grade school at Holy Trinity and graduated from Hartington Cedar Catholic H.S. in 1981. Ann went on to become a state certified dietary manager. She married Chris Rooney of Waterbury, NE on March 27, 1994. Ann worked as a dietary manager at Laurel (NE) Nursing Home and later became head cook at the Coleridge School. Ann is survived by her three daughters, Shandra, Kari, and Grace Rooney of Waterbury; mother, Bonnie Hoesing of Coleridge; six sisters and three brothers and spouses, Patricia Allison of Omaha, Joan and Jim Andrew of Tekamah, NE, Theresa and Pat Hoarty of Wessington Springs, SD, Carlene and Doug Oines of Sioux Falls, SD, Bernice and Don Maxwell of Coleridge, Dan and Jill Hoesing of Yankton, Alan and Jean Hoesing of Hartington, Jeff and Mary Hoesing of Randolph, NE, and Rose and Terry Brewer of Homer, NE; and many nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death was her father, Hilary in 1998; brother, Dave in 1995; and a brother-in-law, Bob Allison. Memorials are to be directed to the wishes of the Ann Rooney family.
