Death of Pioneer Woman Mrs. Minna Raasch Stahl passed away at the home of her son-in-law, J. A. Schenk, eight miles northeast of Johnstown, on February 9, after a brief illness, at the age of 76 years, 11 months. She was born in Bremen, Germany on March 6, 1856. She came to America in 1882 settling in Brown County. She was united in marriage to F. Stahl in 1886. One daughter, Lina, was born to them who preceded her in death in 1913. Since the death of her husband she has made her home with her son-in-law, J. A. Schenk. Early in life she was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran church. She leaves to mourn her passing, two brothers, Frank Raasch of Kearney and Paul of Johnstown; one sister, Emma Picard of Omaha; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Funerl services were conducted by Rev. Paul Critchett of Johnstown, at the J. A. Schenk home on Saturday afternoon. Burial was in Grand Prairie cemetery.
