Joanne Allen-Noe, 74, formerly of Allen passed away June 23, 2014, in Lincoln, NE. Memorial services will be 1 p.m. Friday at St. Mark's United Methodist Church in Lincoln. Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Saturday in Eastview Cemetery, Allen. There will be no visitation. Arrangements are under the direction of Butherus, Maser & Love Funeral Home in Lincoln. Condolences may be left at www.bmlfh.com. She was born in Allen, March 12, 1940. Joann was a longtime teacher in the Lincoln school system. She received her master's degree in education in her 50s and continued lifelong learning, especially via the University of Nebraska and the OLLI program. Joanne loved traveling, visiting California, Europe, Costa Rica and most recently wintering in Arizona. Survivors include her daughters, Machelle Noe-Belitz and fiancé, Curt Kiner of Omaha, Sheryl and Bob Munger of Omaha, and Suzanne and Carey Nelson of Seattle, WA; her ex-husband, Keith Noe; and grandchildren, Ryan and Nick Belitz, Emery and Drew Munger, and Liam Nelson. She was preceded in death by her parents, Opal and Ronald Allen; and brother, Wayne Allen.
