Funeral services for Ursula Kneifl age 90 of Dixon will be held at St. Anne’s Catholic Church in Dixon on Monday at 10:30 a.m. Officiate will be Rev. David Liewer.Visitation with family present will be at St. Anne’s Catholic Church in Dixon on Sunday from 4:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.with a Vigil Service at 6:00 p.m. Interment will be at Calvary Cemetery in Newcastle. Memorials may be directed to the Kneifl family for later designation. She passed away Friday at Hillcrest Care Center in Laurel.Arrangements are with Hasemann Funeral Home of Laurel. She grew up in Dixon County, attended country grade schools, and graduated in 1941 from Holy Trinity High School in Hartington. After high school, Ursula worked in Sioux City, IA. She married Mike Kneifl, November 12, 1947, in Laurel. They farmed in Dixon County their entire life. Ursula was very active in St. Anne’s Catholic Church in Dixon. She enjoyed raising her flower gardens, ceramics, oil painting, crocheting pot holders, and playing the piano. Ursula is survived by Mike, her husband of 66 years; five children, Mary Kneifl of Dixon, Michael Kneifl Jr. of Sioux Falls, SD, Patrick Kneifl of Yankton, SD, Anne (Ed) Remm of Omaha, and Ray (Sharon) Kneifl of Dixon; nine grandchildren; sisters, Alice Schulte of Yankton, SD and Theresa Kaiser of Randolph; and nieces and nephews. Ursula was preceded in death by her parents; an infant child; sisters, Mary Hoesing, Loretta Clark, Bernadine Addison; and a brother, Jack Coughlin.
