| Rebecca "Becky" Pick, 62, of LeMars passed away peacefully Thursday, December 17, 2015, at her home after a courageous battle with brain cancer. Services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday at All Saints Parish - St. James Catholic Church in LeMars, with the Rev. Andy Sohm of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Ponca, NE, officiating. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation with the family present will be after 2 p.m. today, with a parish rosary at 4 p.m., followed by a Scriptural wake service at 6 p.m., all at the church. Arrangements are with Carlsen-Feuerstein Funeral Home of LeMars. Expressions of sympathy can be extended to the family through www.carlsenfuneralhome.com Becky Ann Lowe was born May 1, 1953, in Sioux City, IA, to Jack and Rosie (Curry) Lowe. She attended school in Ponca, NE, graduating in 1971. Following high school, she moved to Sioux City, where she met and fell in love with Tony. They were united in marriage on September 28, 1974 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Ponca. In the early 80s, they moved to LeMars to further their careers. During her work years, Becky was employed at Wells' Blue Bunny, Dr. Russell's Dental Office, and most recently, Dean Foods. Tony and Becky enjoyed spending their weekends at their cabin in Yankton, being with their boys and their families and hosting family and friends for dinners and holiday celebrations. Becky loved her eight grandchildren dearly. She looked forward to planning the annual "Cousin Camp" and took time off each summer to have all the grandkids spend a week playing at the cabin, having bonfires, roasting marshmallows, going to the dam and treasure hunting. In Becky's free time, she enjoyed a good book, quilting, baking cookies and gardening. Becky's legacy will continue on through husband, Tony and their four boys, Reed and his wife, Stacey of South St. Paul, MN, and their children, Lainey and Jack; Ryan and his wife, Katie of LeMars, and their children, Cooper, Cael, and Drake; Alex and his wife, Jill of Traer, IA, and their children, Kensington, Makinley, and Lincoln; and Drew of LeMars; siblings, Phil Lowe and his wife, Kari of Ponca, NE, Vicki Richards and her husband, Mark of Exira, IA, and Shelly Kunkel of Remsen, IA; Tony's nine sisters and two brothers; many nieces and nephews; and countless friends. Becky is preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Rosie Lowe; and her in-laws, Jim and Cleo Pick. Pallbearers will be her sons, Reed, Ryan, Alex, and Drew Pick; and family friends, Jan Pickner and Carin Huber. |
