John Price: Buried Daily Cemetery, Dixon County

John Price was born January 24, 1831 in Wales. I remember my grandfather telling me that he was only sixteen when he stole awayon a ship from Wales to America. The rest of his life story in the document jumps to the fact he served in the Union army during the Civil War as a baker. He settled in Iowa as a farmer and was married (no year given). His wife passed away in March 1870; they had three children. He remarried in May 1871 and they soon moved to Nebraska and had four children born in Nebraska (although the document doesn't mention the town, it must have been somewhere near Daily township).
He still owned a farm in western Iowa, and on November 8th, 1880 he was traveling from the farm in Iowa to the one in eastern NE when he was caught in a blizzard. The next day he was found in a silo and had died from hypothermia.
Great-great Grandson
