Grace E. (Noe) Green

Grace was born on November 3, 1919 in rural Dixon, NE, the daughter of Frederick and Emma (Royce) Noe. She graduated from Dixon High School and attended Wayne State College. She moved to El Centro, CA for a year, where she was a bookkeeper for a Studebaker dealership. She then moved back to Allen and married Marvin Green on October 8, 1941 at the Central Methodist Episcopal Church in rural Ponca. The couple farmed near Newcastle and Allen and planted trees for Dixon County for over twenty years. Marvin passed away in 1992.
She was a member of Springbank Friends Church, the Rest-A-While Club, and the Dixon County Historical Society, where she served as secretary for many years. She attended the Concord Evangelical Free Church for several years.
Survivors include two sons, Roger (Jan) Green of Topeka, KS, and Victor (Charlene) Green of Laurel, NE; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Grace was preceded in death by her parents, Frederick and Emma Noe; her husband, Marvin; nine brothers and sisters, Martha Noe, Mary Milner, Florence Malcom, Esther Brandt, Robert, Ralph, Oliver and Leslie Noe and Emma Shortt.
