Maureen (Sullivan) Punches

Maureen Margaret "Big" Punches, 74, of Casper, WY, formerly of Jackson, passed away unexpectedly January 29, 2015, with her loved ones at her side.
Graveside services were held in Memorial Park Cemetery, Sioux City. Local arrangements were under the direction of Mohr Funeral Home in South Sioux City.
She was born to the late Clifford and Margaret "Little" (Nelson) Sullivan on June 6, 1940, in Sioux City. She married the late John Punches in 1959 and they lived together in Hubbard, NE.
Maureen was a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. She meant so much to so many and had touched many people with her works and prayers. She also enjoyed her past positions as food service employee at K-Mart, Valentino's, Casino Omaha, Sam's Club and Hy-Vee. Maureen loved her experiences and the many people she grew to love and respect over the years.
Maureen was an active member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church, the Altar Society and she was a member of the Catholic Daughters. She was a very strong, independent, hardworking woman as well as a lover and a fighter. She also had much love for her family, friends and her flowers and garden. She loved sitting in the backyard by the fire and cooking. Maureen had the ability to make something out of nothing. She also enjoyed bingo and long conversations with her friends and family.
Maureen is survived by two children, John Punches of Casper, WY, and Lori (Jeffrey) Bryant of Evansville, WY; three grandchildren, Joshua (Heather P.) Statler, Katelyn Statler, and Nathanial Statler; and four great-grandchildren, Calen, Gavin, Keegen and Emma.
