Betty (Woods) Tuttle

Betty J. Tuttle, 82, of Norfolk, NE, formerly of South Sioux City, died Saturday, January 17, 2015, at Faith Regional Health Services in Norfolk.
Services will be 10 a.m., Friday at Peace United Congregational Church in Hoskins, NE, with the Rev. Clark Jenkinson officiating. Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Friday in Memorial Park Cemetery, Sioux City. Visitation will be 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Home for Funerals in Norfolk. A gathering in Betty's memory will be 7 to 10 p.m. Friday at the American Legion in South Sioux City.
Betty J. Tuttle was born on June 22, 1932, in Homer, NE, the daughter of E.E. "Jack" and Marie (Quint) Woods. She graduated from South Sioux City High School in 1950.
Betty married Arvil "Lee" Tuttle on August 5, 1951, at the Presbyterian Church in Sioux City. The couple lived primarily in South Sioux City, where she was a member of the Eastern Star in Morningside. They moved to Norfolk in 1975, where she worked for a dentist, Copy Craft Printing, the Norfolk Junior High School, and was a volunteer coordinator at Northeast Community College. The Tuttle family spent their summers at their cabin in Lake Ada, MN.
Betty is survived by her children, Craig Tuttle of South Sioux City, Cynthia Beeken of South Sioux City, Todd (Jayne) Tuttle of Edina, MN, and Brad Tuttle of Norfolk; two sisters, Shirley Cowell of South Sioux City, and Jackie Archer of Dakota Dunes; 10 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and husband, Arvil in 2003.
