| Funeral services for Alice N. Schroeder, age 87, of Tilden, will be held Saturday, January 3, 2015 at 2:30 p.m. at Faith United Methodist Church in Tilden. Pastor Ralph Metschke will officiate with burial in the Tilden City Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday, January 2, 2015 from 4 to 7 p.m. at Brockhaus-Harlan Funeral Home in Tilden. Visitation will continue for one hour prior to services at Faith United Methodist Church on Saturday. Alice died Wednesday, December 31, 2014 at Golden Living Center in Neligh, NE. Alice N. Schroeder, daughter of Fletcher and Esther (Noe) Brandt was born March 2, 1927 at Royal, NE. She attended rural school near the community of Royal through the 8th grade. On September 6, 1954 she was married to Bernard A. Schroeder at the Clearwater Methodist Parsonage. Two children were born to them, Wesley and Judy. Alice and Bernard farmed at Ewing and Dutch Hollow, northeast of Neligh, for 40 years before moving to Tilden in 1998. She was a member of Faith United Methodist Church in Tilden. Survivors include son, Wesley of Oakdale, NE; daughter, Judy and her husband Randy Fuerhoff of Oakland, NE; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; one sister, Leona Timperley of Norfolk, NE; two brothers, Lyle Brandt and his wife Evelyn, and Charley Brandt, all of Creighton, NE. She was preceded in death by her parents, Fletcher and Esther; one infant brother. |
