| Funeral services for Ernest H. Lass, 79, a long time resident of Emerson, NE, who died at his home Monday evening,May 28,1962,following a heart attack, will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at St. Luke Lutheran church. Rev. Paul L. Lewis will officiate & burial will be at Rose Hill Cemetery under the direction of Demme Mortuary. Mr. Lass was born November 17, 1882 in Washington County, Nebraska. He moved to Emerson with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Lass, when he was a young boy. He was married to Dorothy M. Dohrman of Emerson, February 25, 1908. They observed their Golden Wedding Anniversary in 1958. Survivors include the widow: a daughter Margaret (Mrs. Rudolph Blohm) of Allen, Nebr., two sons, Harold of San Jose, California and Erwin of Blackfoot, Idaho: a brother John of Wessington Springs, South Dakota; a sister, Mrs. Anna Tolstrup of Long Beach, Calif.;9 grand children and 2 great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Leon Jepsen, Erwin Larson, Fay Mattison, Elvin Mackling, Henry Mueller and Paul Fuscher. |
