Mrs. Williams Passes Away
Former Resident of This Community Dies at Her Home at Harrold, South Dakota
Interment at Harrold"
"Mrs. Levina Williamson died Thursday, Sept. 26th, at her home at Harrold, S. D. following a protracted illness.
Levina E. Cass was born May 1, 1851 at Fulton, Ill. She was married April 10th, 1870 to James Williamson and lived at Washington, Kans. until 1891. Mr. Williamson died at the latter place in 1881, Mrs. Williamson and her family moving to Winside ten years later. She and her sons farmed the place now occupied by Robert Prince 2 miles north of Winside, for many years. In Aug. 1922 she moved to Harrold, S. D. where she made her home with her son, Alfred or better known to Winside acquaintances as Fred.
Six children were born to Mr. and Mrs. Williamson, one of whom, Mrs. Rose Stevens, died at Fort Collins, Colo., in 1923. She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Charles Jones of Gettysburg, S. D. and Mrs. Julia Overman of Winside; three sons, Harry, Alfred and Albert of Harrold, S. D., besides fifteen grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Saturday, Sept. 28th, at her home at Harrold and interment made in the Harrold cemetery.
Mrs. Williamson had a wide acquaintance in Winside and her many friends here deeply regret her passing.
Mrs. Julia Overman of this community attended the services at Harrold Saturday.
