Tim P. Hansen, age 60. He was a current member of Laurel Volunteer Fire Department and Laurel Ambulance, E.M.T., passed away Tuesday near Dixon.
Memorial Services will be at Praise Assembly of God Church Wayne, 1000 East 10th Street on Friday at 11 a.m. with Rev. Jason Pickering and Rev. David Winter officiating. Memorial visitation at Laurel High School Old Gym on Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. with family present. Arrangements with Hasemann Funeral Home of Laure. A private family interment at Laurel Cemetery.
Timothy Paul Hansen was born September 8, 1953, at Sioux City, IA to Darrell and Lois (Tuttle) Hansen. He graduated from Laurel High School in 1971, and Northeast Community College in 1974. Tim married Yvonne Kraemer September 20, 1974, at Laurel. He especially enjoyed helping with the farming operation, Cedar View Ag after being employed with Theisen Brothers in Norfolk. He was a member of Praise Assembly of God in Wayne, was a Church Board Member, Sunday School teacher, and a Royal Rangers Leader. For several years, Tim was a volunteer with the Laurel Fire Department, was a laurel E.M.T. and formerly served as fire chief. Tim was "A Pillar of Christ" in the community. Tim loved his wife, two sons, grandchildren, and all those he came in contact with.
Tim is survived by his wife, Yvonne; their sons, Christopher (Amanda) Hansen of Laurel and Aaron Hansen (Tiffany Bohm) of Lincoln; four grandchildren, Tanner, Blake, Taylor, and Brooke; his parents, Darrell and Lois Hansen of Laurel, siblings, John (Yolanda) Hansen of Laurel; Dan (Lori) Hansen of Laurel, Patricia (Don) Faircloth of Edmond, OK, and Steve (Lisa) Hansen; parents in-law, Marlen and Shirley Kraemer of Laurel; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Yvette Kramer (Joe Snyder) of Granbury, TX, Randy Kraemer of Georgetown, TX, Rebecca (Kevin) Hahne of Norfolk, Roxie (Todd) Nelson of Laurel, and Shelly Ratzlaff of Granbury, TX; nieces and nephews.
Tim was preceded in death by his grandparents; sister, Pamela Jo Jansen; and brother-in-law, Kent Ratzlaff.
